First light of dawn spills across the narrow stone alley in District 3, casting a soft, golden glow on the weathered face of a rice paddy farmer. The morning sun rises low, illuminating deep lines and tan skin while the subject squints against the bright new rays. Distant haze rests on the horizon, softening the background cityscape into muted tones. The farmer stands framed by rough stone walls, their presence intimate and grounded. Foreground bokeh blurs nearby foliage into soft green orbs, drawing focus to the sharp texture of the skin and the determined expression. The turn of seasons is evident in the cool, crisp quality of the air visible through the light, highlighting the dust on the face and the fabric of a simple shirt.
