Dawn Chimneys Quarry Marseille Canal Reflection

Deep shadow swallows the foreground quarry ledge while a sharp rim of golden light traces the tops of three brick factory chimneys. These vertical structures stand in stark contrast against a pale, sea-hazed horizon where the sky meets the water. The canal below mirrors the darkened silhouettes of the chimneys, creating a symmetrical anchor in the lower third of the view. Late autumn leaves in muted browns and ochres rest on the rough stone edge beside the water. The brickwork shows weathered textures and dark mortar lines that catch the faint morning glow. A thin layer of mist hovers just above the canal surface, softening the reflection of the industrial masonry into a blurred, darker shape. at the edge is the precise alignment of the chimney tops against the brightest point of the rising sun.
