Crew Chief Secures Medevac Litter Straps

Soft, diffused light from an overcast sky falls through a camouflage net shelter, casting even illumination across a military medical evacuation litter. A crew chief, clad in early winter field gear, bends over the stretcher to tighten heavy-duty nylon straps. The grey metal frame of the litter rests on wet, grassy ground beneath the shelter. Camouflage fabric overhead creates a pattern of shadow and light across the equipment. Thick leather buckles and webbing show signs of frequent use. The lines of the shelter poles and the stretcher rails guide the gaze toward the worker's hands adjusting the final buckle. A rust-colored bolt on the litter frame catches the dull afternoon light at the very edge of the frame.
