Under the sodium-orange spill of a Brussels streetlamp, a late-night tram stop glows with wet pavement reflections. A solitary commuter in a dark coat stands near the yellow tactile paving, checking a phone screen that casts a cool blue rectangle on their face. Behind them, the glass shelter is streaked with rain, distorting the neon advertisement for a local beer brand into a smear of red and green. On the bench inside, a discarded plastic coffee cup sits next to a folded newspaper, its headline blurred by the damp.
