Cool blue twilight washes over a misty St. Petersburg street where two children in bright rubber boots leap into deep rain puddles. Thick fog softens the edges of nearby brick facades and dim streetlamps that cast faint, elongated reflections on the wet asphalt. Water sprays upward in suspended droplets around the children's legs, catching the pale ambient light. Mist rests on the damp pavement. One splash of water freezes mid-air against the dark, wet curb, highlighting the texture of the stone.
