Warm golden hour light floods the nurse station in Umm Qasr, illuminating a charging bay where medical pagers rest in organized rows. Dust particles drift through shafts of light cutting across the room, highlighting the humid monsoon atmosphere. The glow from nearby monitors casts a cool blue reflection on the plastic casings, against the rich amber tones of the setting sun. Each device shows a specific model of medical alert system, their screens dark but ready for the next appointment block. The concrete floor holds faint scuff marks from daily rounds, while the metal racks show signs of frequent handling. One cable snakes along the edge of the tray, connecting to a power source just out of view.
