Cathedral Floor Labyrinth Lit by Stained Glass

Cool air settles over polished stone as candlelight flickers across a complex labyrinth pattern inlaid deep within the chapel floor of Lubumbashi. Stained glass panels cast fractured pools of crimson, cobalt, and amber onto the dark masonry, illuminating the geometric paths where pilgrims walk in silence. The low angle emphasizes the vastness of the stone surface and the rhythmic repetition of the inlaid lines. Small highlights dance on the polished edges of the tiles, reflecting the steady glow of nearby tapers. Shadows stretch long and soft across the walkway, defining the contours of the stone beneath the feet of those moving slowly through the sacred space.
