Under the sodium-orange glow of a Stockholm streetlamp, a heavy rubber door mat lies damp against the wet cobblestones outside a narrow apartment entrance. The mat’s textured surface catches reflections of passing taillights, creating streaks of red and amber across its black fibers. Behind the translucent glass pane of the door, a warm interior light spills out, illuminating a glimpse of a tiled floor and the lower edge of a wooden cabinet. One, dark caster wheel from a nearby utility cart rests askew against the doorframe, partially obscured by shadow.
