Captain at Harbor Edge Beira Midnight

Rain streaks glisten across the weathered face of a boat captain standing at the edge of the Beira harbor. A smudge of blue paint marks his cheekbone, against the wet skin. Distant street lamps cast a yellow spill over the damp concrete, illuminating the brief sun shower that falls at midnight. Tools rest on a nearby crate, slightly out of focus, while the captain holds a still posture. Leading lines formed by the harbor railing and wet pavement draw toward the figure. The turn of seasons hangs heavy in the air, visible in the cool gray tones of the water and the heavy fabric of his jacket. A reflection of the streetlight shimmers on a puddle at his boots.
