Pale stone steps cantilever from a central column, creating open gaps between the treads. Bright midmorning light fills the tiled stair hall, bouncing off smooth, pale walls to illuminate the architecture without harsh shadows. Early spring air seems to settle on polished surfaces that catch small, sharp highlights along the curved edges. The floor features geometric tiles in muted earth tones, against the cool gray of the stone. Shadows stretch gently across the lower steps, defining the depth of the void beneath the floating treads. A narrow strip of sunlight rests on the bottom riser, marking the precise angle of the sun outside.
