Copper-toned light washes over a bamboo roll resting on a weathered stone ledge. The calligraphy brush stands upright within the roll, its dark bristles contrasting against the pale, salt-crusted bamboo. Fine grains of sand rest on the roll's surface, evidence of the nearby ocean spray. Behind the subject, the sky holds a deep, cloudless gradient of orange and violet. The stone beneath shows rough textures and erosion patterns typical of coastal cliffs. Small patches of hardy green vegetation push through cracks in the rock. Shadows stretch long across the bamboo, indicating the sun's low angle. The brush handle gleams with a warm, amber reflection from the fading daylight.
