A cluster of bright orange California poppies rests on a rough wooden porch rail, lit by the warm, low-angle light of the late afternoon. The delicate petals are translucent where the sun hits them, revealing intricate vein structures and dusting of yellow pollen that contrasts with the deep green stems. Behind the flowers, a weathered stucco wall in pale cream shows subtle cracks and peeling paint, adding texture to the background. Small droplets of dew rest on the lower leaves, catching the golden glow and creating tiny, bright highlights against the shadowed wood grain.
