A heavy-duty metal laundry cart stands silhouetted against the pale midday sky along a weathered wooden fence line in a muddy paddock. Soft overcast light flattens the shadows, while a thin layer of early summer fog drifts across the damp earth. The cart, loaded with thick woolen calf jackets, rests on wet ground that reflects the gray sky. Rust speckles the metal frame, and the heavy wheels sink slightly into the churned mud. Nearby, the fence posts show signs of age and exposure to the Tasmanian climate. The jackets hang in dense folds, their texture heavy and saturated with moisture. One strap hangs loose from the cart handle, swaying slightly against the stillness of the morning.
