The dog's dark muzzle and folded ears frame an attentive gaze fixed just off-camera. Sunlight wraps around the subject from the horizon, creating a soft rim of warmth against the shaded background of vertical railings and peeling paint. Heat haze shimmers faintly in the air above the porch steps, blurring the distant treeline. The eye-level framing leaves generous negative space around the dog, showing the texture of its black fur and the worn grain of the timber beneath its paws.
