Blow Dryer Nozzle Drawer in Taichung Barber Station
Honey-colored light from a setting sun washes over a wooden drawer pulled slightly open at a Taichung barber station. Inside, a black blow-dryer nozzle rests among neatly arranged metal clips and combs. The drawer front reflects the warm glow of the mirror bulbs above, casting soft, muted highlights on the polished wood grain. Through the large mirror behind the station, the room's depth expands, showing rows of identical stations fading into shadow. The cool tone of the metal tools contrasts with the warm wood. Along the dark floor below, faint reflections of the overhead lights stretch across the surface, at the base of the organized chaos of a station in mid-turnover. At the edge is a tiny scratch on the nozzle's plastic rim catching the light.
