Drying Towels in Tainan

A stack of white cotton towels hangs from a metal hook on the exterior wall of a traditional Tainan shop. The flat noon light washes over the fabric, softening the deep shadows between the folds and highlighting the texture of the weave. To the right, a small section of the aged brick wall shows signs of weathering and discoloration from years of exposure. One rusted nail head protrudes slightly from the mortar joint near the bottom edge of the frame.
