A Biewer Terrier sits poised on weathered wooden porch boards, its tri-color coat of black, white, and gold catching the edge of a passing lighthouse beam. The dog's silky fur texture is sharp against the shadowed background, highlighting its curled ears and distinct muzzle shape. Behind the animal, dark iron railings frame the scene while heavy late autumn clouds drift across the deep blue sky. The sweeping light cuts across the worn wood grain and the dog's chest, leaving the rest of the porch in cool shadow. A brass nameplate on the railing glints briefly in the rotating beam before fading back into the night. The 300mm lens compresses the distance between the dog and the distant city lights of Rennes.
