Beach Chairs in San Diego

Under the flat, diffuse light of an overcast midday, a row of bright orange beach chairs sits empty on the wet sand near the boardwalk, their vibrant color popping against the muted gray sky. A lone lifeguard tower, painted in crisp white and blue stripes, stands sentinel in the background, its windows reflecting the dull sky. In the foreground, a few scattered seashells and a discarded plastic cup lie on the damp sand, hinting at recent activity. The texture of the wet sand is smooth and reflective, against the rough, weathered wood of the boardwalk planks visible at the edge of the frame.
