Midday light falls through low-hanging clouds over an open courtyard beneath a government building in Aguascalientes. A long wooden table occupies the center, its worn surface holding stacks of paper ballots and open counting ledgers. Overhead floodlights mounted on the building eaves cast sharp geometric shadows across the documents and the hands of officials working beside them. The pale wood grain runs alongside the crisp white paper edges. In the background, rough stucco walls rise against the grey sky. A neat stack of counted papers rests at the edge of the table, corners aligned with the wood texture.
