Tiny garments in soft pastels hang from a taut wire strung between weathered wooden posts in a quiet garden near Myitkyina. The early summer sky presses down with heavy, slate-gray clouds, diffusing the last amber light of sunset into a gentle, even glow. Delicate fabrics of white cotton and pale blue linen rest against the darkening green foliage, their edges soft and slightly blurred by the dimming air. A small patch of damp earth lies beneath the line, reflecting the muted sky. The clothes remain still, suspended in the heavy stillness of the evening, while the negative space around them emphasizes their fragility against the vast, overcast horizon. One white sock hangs slightly lower than the others, its cuff frayed.
