Autumn Canopy Glowing Over River Bend Guilin

Golden and russet foliage blankets the layered foothills of Guilin, viewed from a high ridge looking down. The late afternoon sun casts long, sharp shadows across the dry terrain, highlighting the textured surfaces of the trees. A winding river cuts through the valley floor, reflecting the bright sky above. Mist hangs low over the water, softening the distant limestone karsts that rise abruptly from the green valley. The composition places the river bend in the lower third, drawing the eye along the water's curve. Tiny droplets of moisture rest on the edges of the leaves, catching the light against the deep green undergrowth. The scene is defined by the contrast between the rough, rocky peaks and the smooth, flowing water below.
