Autumn canopy glow over river bend Serbia

Amber and burnt orange leaves form a dense overhead canopy that frames a sweeping river bend below. The water reflects the low-hanging sun, creating a ribbon of molten gold against the darker shoreline. Heat haze shimmers above the surface, distorting the distant banks slightly. Wave-cut rocks line the edge, their grey surfaces smoothed by centuries of water. The light is intense and directional, casting long shadows across the forest floor. One leaf rests on a wet stone at the very edge of the frame, its veins highlighted by the firelight warmth.
