Aurora Borealis Over Snow Spruces Oslo Night
by Jim Jensen
Violet and emerald ribbons of aurora borealis stretch across the dark polar night sky, arching over a dense line of spruce trees heavy with fresh snow. Below, a moonlit breakwater extends into the water, its stone surface glowing faintly under the starlight. Gentle snowflakes fall in the foreground, catching the ambient light and appearing as soft white streaks against the dark evergreens. The trees stand tall and still, their branches bowed under the weight of the winter accumulation. The water reflects the faint glow from the sky and the distant city lights near Oslo, creating a subtle shimmer on the surface. One branch in the immediate foreground holds a cluster of ice crystals, sharp and distinct against the softer background. The scene remains still, with the only movement coming from the drifting snow and the silent dance of the lights above.
