Rain-slicked cobblestones reflect the amber glow of a corner café in Nice as a vendor arranges folding stools under a striped awning, the wet fabric heavy with droplets. A black cat slips beneath the wooden counter, avoiding the puddles gathering near the entrance. Inside, a woman’s hands move with practiced speed, placing linen napkins beside stacked clay pots filled with fresh herbs, the steam rising into the cool, gray dusk air. Neon signs buzz faintly, casting pink and blue hues across the wet pavement where pedestrians hurry past, umbrellas tilted against the drizzle, showing the chaotic, cozy rhythm of a seaside evening in motion.
