Golden hour light spills across the adobe facade of a corner shop in Santa Fe, casting long, sharp shadows that stretch toward the distant Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A woman in a denim apron stands behind a scarred wooden counter, her hands carefully arranging dried chilies and turquoise jewelry near an open register. On the counter, a silver tea kettle sits next to a woven basket, steam faintly visible against the dusty air. Outside, the street is quiet, with a bicycle leaning against a lamppost, its basket holding a few grocery bags. The end of a busy day, with the warm light highlighting the textures of the adobe walls and the polished wood of the counter.
