Armorer Preparing Bore Light in Bogura Hall
by Lilly Person
Warm firelight glows across the rough stone walls of the ceremonial hall, casting long, shifting shadows against the heavy wooden beams. An armorer stands at eye level, hands steady as they open a drawer containing a bore light. The metal surfaces of the equipment gleam with a soft, amber reflection, against the dark, damp air visible through the high windows where a light drizzle streaks the glass. The room holds a quiet order; tools for inspection rounds and guard duty rest on separate tables, their forms distinct and organized. The turn of the season is visible in the heavy wool of the armorer's coat and the muted, earthy tones of the dried leaves scattered near the entrance. Dust motes float in the thick beams of light, settling slowly on the worn floorboards. one drop of rain traces a path down the cold windowpane.
