The blue hour settles over a Charleston street corner where the warm interior glow of a historic apothecary spills onto the wet pavement. Through the glass, a crowded workbench reveals a tangle of local life: brass tool caddies sit beside a dish rack holding ceramic bowls, while a straight razor rests near a knitting basket filled with yarn. Faceted glass throws prismatic shards of light across the clutter, catching the bristles of a splayed brush. Outside, the streetlamp reflects in puddles, framing the busy, lived-in workspace within the ornate iron balcony, proving the city’s enduring craft traditions against the cooling evening air.
