An American Bobtail Shorthair stands alert beside a weathered courtyard wall, its short coat catching the bright midday sun. The cat's distinctive stubby tail and broad face are clearly defined against the textured plaster. To the left, a rough concrete edge frames the animal, while faded laundry hangs on a line in the distant background, adding a lived-in feel to the scene. The 17mm lens shows the expansive space, showing the cat's relaxed posture as it surveys the open-air corner. Sunlight highlights the individual hairs on its back, creating a tactile contrast with the smooth, sun-bleached wall behind it. A small patch of green moss grows in a crack near the base of the wall, at the base of the image in a specific, authentic Xiamen environment.
