American Bobtail Cat Portrait in Silopi Window Light

An American Bobtail Shorthair cat sits centered in a doorway frame, its short coat catching the bright midmorning light filtering from a north-facing window. The animal faces forward with a distinctively square face and a stubby, kinked tail resting against its flank. Soft shadows pool in the room corners where lamplight has not yet settled, while the plain plaster wall behind remains smooth and unadorned. One floorboard seam runs horizontally across the lower foreground, at the base of the subject in the domestic space. The cat's fur texture is sharp and detailed, showing the individual hairs catching the side illumination, and its eyes reflect the cool daylight entering from the left.
