Blue hour settles over the stone-paved Rue du Petit-Champlain, where the warm amber spill from a bakery window washes against the damp, dark granite of the historic facades. A young woman in a heavy wool coat pauses near the entrance, her attention fixed on a small, woven peg basket she holds in one hand, its natural fibers against the slick, rain-slicked pavement. Above, the soft, diffused light catches the edges of a nearby awning, while deep shadows pool in the recessed doorways.
