Wisteria Pergola Sunset Over Meerut Cliff
by Karl Harding
Rich amber light from the setting sun washes over clusters of wisteria hanging in heavy cascades from a wooden pergola structure. The vines drape heavily against the backdrop of a rugged cliff edge, their purple and white blooms catching the low-angle glow. Fine droplets from a light drizzle coat the petals and leaves, creating a glistening texture that reflects the warm sky. The wooden beams of the pergola appear dark and weathered, against the soft, saturated colors of the flowers. Layers of mist and falling rain soften the distant horizon, where the cliff face fades into a hazy, shadowed silhouette. Raindrops slide down the thick, woody stems, pooling briefly in the deep crevices of the wood before dripping away. at the edge is a single wet petal clinging to the edge of a beam, catching the last streak of golden light.
