A small teacup poodle stands on a quiet park path in Thunder Bay, its curly white coat catching the dim, silvery light of late November. The dog faces slightly left, framed by the rule of thirds against a background of blurred, dormant trees and frost-dusted ground. Deep shadows fall across its muzzle, showing the breed's distinctive short nose and dark, alert eyes. The fur texture appears thick and dense, resisting the cold air that seems to ruffle the tips of its curled coat. The 300mm lens compresses the distance, isolating the subject from the muted gray and brown tones of the surrounding winter landscape. A few dry leaves rest on the frozen earth near the poodle's paws, marking the turn of seasons in this northern city. The image carries the grainy, high-contrast character of a 1978 film capture.
