Molten gold light spills across the rough, stuccoed walls of a whitewashed Cycladic house, illuminating the deep blue wooden shutters that frame the windows. The structure sits within a narrow, skylit passageway in Callao, where the open sky above casts a heavy, overcast gray that contrasts with the warm side illumination. The turn of the seasons is evident in the soft, diffused quality of the air and the slight wear on the white plaster.
