Weathered Wooden Cupboard Door in Valparaiso

A weathered wooden cupboard door stands slightly ajar on a steep Valparaiso staircase, its surface softened by the thick morning mist that rests on the hillside. The pale blue paint is peeling in long strips, revealing layers of older green and white coats beneath the damp air. One brass hinge glints faintly against the gray light, anchoring the door to the rough concrete step. Condensation beads on the lower edge of the wood, dripping slowly onto the stone below.
