Weathered Post in Halifax

A weathered wooden post stands against the damp grey sky of Halifax’s waterfront, its surface scarred by years of salt spray and rough handling. Attached near the top is a cluster of rusted iron rings, one holding a faded blue rope that drapes heavily over the edge. Below, a discarded white plastic chair cushion rests precariously on a stack of damp crates, its fabric stained with dark patches of mildew and grime. The summer evening light casts long, sharp shadows from the rigging above, creating a geometric pattern across the wet cobblestones. In the background, the blurred outline of a fishing vessel bobs gently in the harbor, its red hull reflecting faintly in the oily water.
