Wax Pot Lid Shelf Under White LEDs at Blue Hour

Rows of stacked wax pot lids rest on a narrow shelf beneath harsh white LEDs. The curved plastic surfaces catch the artificial light without reflecting a glossy sheen. Outside the window, blue hour monsoon dusk bleeds into the room, reaching the edge of a mirror but failing to fully illuminate it. Shadows gather along the walls where the light does not reach. The matte texture of the lids contrasts with the slight gloss of the mirror behind them. A thin line of daylight from the street cuts across the top edge of the frame, meeting the artificial white light. The muted colors reflect the heavy air of the monsoon season without showing raindrops.
