Warm candlelight spills across the stone steps of Bucaramanga City Hall, illuminating a small group of voters huddled beneath the corrugated metal roof of a bus shelter. The dry season air stirs a pile of paper leaflets at their feet, fluttering in sudden gusts that ripple the printed pages. Faces are half-lit by the flickering flames, casting shifting shadows against the grey concrete pillars. People stand shoulder to shoulder in the pre-dawn stillness, their expressions focused as they wait for the polling station to open. The metal roof reflects the orange glow, while the surrounding street remains dark and empty. A crumpled flyer rests against the leg of a wooden bench.
