A white Volpino Italiano stands alert on damp concrete beside a weathered adobe wall in a Piura courtyard. The dog's dense, fluffy coat catches the low golden light, highlighting the fine texture of its fur against the cool gray pavement. Rain-slicked surfaces reflect the warm horizon glow, while water droplets rest on the animal's muzzle and the tips of its erect ears. The 20mm wide-angle lens shows the dog's compact frame and distinctive black nose in sharp focus, with ample negative space framing the scene on either side. Behind the subject, the plain wall shows subtle cracks and patches of lichen, at the base of the image in the specific local architecture. The animal's dark eyes look forward, reflecting the soft, diffused light of the drizzle before the sun fully sets.
