Winter light cuts sharply through the fogged glass of a Victorian shop window in Bristol, illuminating a cluttered display of vintage kitchenware against the gray street outside. A stack of yellowing cookbooks leans precariously against a red lacquered breadbox, their spines faded by decades of handling while a chrome cocktail shaker reflects the dull sky. The foreground is dominated by a dish rack holding a single wet plate, its surface mirroring the condensation that beads on the cold glass pane. A passerby’s gloved hand briefly obscures the view as they check their phone, casting a fleeting shadow over the static arrangement.
