Vendor Cart in Luang Prabang
Blue hour settles over a Luang Prabang street corner where a street vendor’s cart glows under a harsh, portable LED work light. The beam cuts through the twilight, illuminating a stack of worn cookbooks used as a makeshift shelf for small packets of spices and condiments. Next to them, a faded floral apron hangs loosely from the cart’s handle, its fabric stiff with use. A wooden mallet rests near a metal bowl, hinting at the preparation of sticky rice or herbs. In the background, the silhouette of a temple roof emerges against the deepening indigo sky, while the wet pavement reflects the warm, yellow spill of the light, against the cool, shadowed alleyway behind it.
