The late afternoon light falls through the heavy stone arches of a Boston viaduct, casting long shadows across the damp pavement below. Water drips steadily from the mossy masonry onto the ferny stone beneath, creating small ripples in the shallow puddles that have collected on the uneven ground. A few pedestrians hurry past in the background, their figures slightly blurred by motion, while the structural details of the bridge loom overhead. The quiet, gritty texture of the city infrastructure, with the natural growth of ferns clinging to the wet stone surfaces contrasting against the rigid geometry of the urban environment.
