Upside Down Water Pooling in Pedicure Cup

Twilight bleeds through the storefront window, cooling the edges of a skincare treatment room near Kastamonu while string lights cast warm amber pools on the walls. In the center, a metal pedicure drain screen cup rests on a tiled floor, holding water that defies gravity. The liquid climbs the inner slope of the cup, pooling steadily at the highest rim point rather than settling at the bottom. Autumn leaves press against the glass, their orange and brown hues mirroring the string light glow. The metal surface reflects the upward flow, creating a shimmering distortion where the water meets the air. One droplet hangs suspended at the peak of the curve, holding the impossible weight of the liquid against the pull of the earth.
