University Arcade in Vienna at Nautical Dawn Light

The pre-dawn light of nautical dawn falls through the high arches of a university arcade in Vienna, Austria, casting long, cool shadows across the stone floor. Wet leaves skitter between the heavy columns, caught in a light morning breeze that moves through the historic passage. The iron supports of the arcade roof are visible overhead, gleaming slightly with moisture from the recent rain. A few early commuters walk briskly in the distance, their figures blurred by motion, while the architectural details of the university building stand out against the dim, blue-grey sky. The quiet, damp atmosphere of a European city waking up before the full rush of the day.
