A Basenji stands patiently nearby, its short coat catching the dim light, watching the few pedestrians pass by. The stone textures of the historic architecture are visible in the fading light, at the base of the scene in the specific location. The mix of shadow and the single light source creates a candid moment of daily life against the backdrop of ancient history.
