Indigo twilight bleeds through the high warehouse windows, casting a cool blue tone over a cluttered exception desk near a sorting belt. Loose tails of clear plastic film drape from the edge of a metal counter, catching the warm spill of dock lights that spill in from the cooling loading yard outside. Crumpled paper forms lie scattered across the work surface, their edges softened by the low light. Fine dust particles float in the shafts of light cutting through the air, suspended above stacks of shipping labels and a black scanner. The metal surface reflects the indigo sky, while the rough texture of the cardboard boxes nearby anchors the scene in early spring efficiency.
