The cat's large, almond-shaped eyes reflect the fading daylight, while its ears are set high and alert. Behind the animal, the background remains uncluttered, revealing only the faint grain of the painted wood and the subtle curve of a cushion. The copper-toned light casts long, gentle shadows across the cat's muzzle, showing the distinct facial structure. A worn leather strap hangs loosely from the seat frame nearby, at the base of the portrait in a lived-in domestic space.
