A sharp beam of late morning sunlight cuts across the interior of a traditional Milanese cafe, creating a bright stripe along the edge of a large wall mirror. Below the reflection, three chrome bar stools with black leather seats are lined up against the counter, their metal legs gleaming under the natural light. On the polished wooden surface of the counter, a glass of water sits with heavy condensation dripping down its side onto a white ceramic saucer. A quiet moment in the city, with the mix of light and shadow highlighting the textures of the wood and metal without any staged arrangement or artificial lighting.
