A deep trench cuts through the cobblestone pavement of a Budapest street, releasing thick white steam that rises into the late afternoon air. The steam swirls around fallen chestnut leaves scattered across the dark asphalt and gray stones. A rusted metal grate covers part of the opening, while the surrounding buildings show typical Central European architecture with peeling paint and wrought iron balconies. Pedestrians in autumn coats walk past the hazard, their shadows lengthening on the wet ground. The functional infrastructure of the city, with the steam providing a dynamic element against the static urban backdrop, highlighting the interaction between the historic streetscape and modern utilities.
