The Last Blue Light Of Evening on Building Facade in Philadelphia

The deep blue twilight of a Philadelphia evening casts a cool hue over a weathered brick rowhouse facade in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. Thick patches of ivy climb the red masonry, their leaves turning dark against the fading sky. Below, a stone stoop leads to a heavy wooden door framed by white trim. A pair of worn blue bath towels hangs over the railing of the stoop, drying in the damp air. To the side, a wooden crate sits near the entrance, holding a cluster of blue hydrangeas that have begun to wilt slightly in the cooling air. A quiet, lived-in moment of urban domestic life as the last light fades.
