Terracotta Bowls in Seville
by Sage Lozano
A cluster of terracotta bowls sits on a sun-warmed stucco ledge in Seville, their curved rims catching the golden late afternoon light. The rough, porous texture of the clay contrasts with the smooth, cool surface of the white wall behind them. One potted geranium with vibrant red blooms rests in the corner, its leaves casting sharp, intricate shadows across the stone. Dust motes dance in the slanted beam of light that illuminates the edge of the nearest bowl.
